Join Dr Haki Tuaupiki, senior lecturer at the University of Waikato’s Te Pua Wānanga ki te Ao (Faculty of Māori and Indigenous Studies) as he shares knowledge about indigenous voyaging and navigation te reo Māori.
Māori ancestors undertook voyages to and from Aotearoa using complex navigation skills and cutting-edge technology. Dr Tuaupiki has researched pūrākau, whakataukī and karakia to recover traditional Māori navigational knowledge.
